Picked up this gem from BarCampRDU: the PocketMod. Like the Hipster, it’s a cellulose based organizer. Where the hipster is pretty basic at the size of just a few index cards, the PocketMod is made of a single piece of paper folded into a little book. You can use the flash program to design what prints on each of the pages to customize how you’re going to use it.
I’ve now got a weekly calendar, todo list, shopping list, and several blank pages for notes in a device barely bigger than a couple business cards that can even fit in my wallet. Couple that with a space pen and you’ve got something to write on anywhere you go. Oh, here’s an easily forgotten tip: The other day I needed to remember something and I didn’t have any paper or even a pen on me. I did have my cell phone and I used the built in voice recorder to record what I needed. I could have easily sent myself an email or text message as well. Handy.
