Rope

I saw this in a description of job levels a while back and I love the analogy. If rope represents your knowledge about something, here are the levels you progress through as you gain experience:

1. Learns about rope.
2. Can tie basic knots; shown complex knots.
3. Calculates rope strength; knows a lot about knots (Simple – Complex).
4. Understands rope making; can tie all knots.
5. Knows more about rope than you ever will.
6. Invents rope.

Strive to invent rope.
